Air Control Valves

Type CE respirators are NIOSH-approved for use with specific air control devices. Low pressure (LP) respirators, which operate with ambient air pumps, can only use constant flow connectors (CFC) that have fixed orifices for a fixed air volume. High pressure respirators (HP), which operate with air compressors, have more available options for customizing the incoming air, such and warming and cooling.

Available NIOSH-approved air control valves for HP respirators include the following: Constant Flow Connector (CFC), Air Control Valve (ACV), Clem-Cool Air Conditioner (CCAC), Cool Air Tube (CAT), and Climate Control Tube (CCT).
