Rust and Corrosion Preventative Coatings are developed to add a layer of protection to manufactured products in order to resist the effects of degradation due to environmental conditions. In simpler terms, the reason we paint our automobiles isn't just because we like the look of a shiny new car. If we didn't paint or coat our vehicles, they would rust away to nothing in a short period of time. With the exemption of maybe plastic and glass products, most the products we use on a daily basis need to be protected from oxidation and the corrosive effects created by their environment.
