OSHA rules dictate that the maximum exposure limit to CO for abrasive blasting supplied Grade D breathing air is 10 parts per million (ppm). Carbon monoxide monitors can detect concentrations of at least 10 ppm and alert the blast operator with visual and audible alarms.
